06 Mar Reception go to the Natural History Museum
At the beginning of the term (while storm Doris raged outside), Reception children visited the dinosaur and mammal exhibitions at the Natural History Museum.
We walked to Manor House Underground Station and rode the tube all the way to South Kensington Station. The children were very well behaved. They sat still and made sure they didn’t disturb the other commuters. We enjoyed playing some games to pass the time and the children were very excited by the escalators.
At the museum we saw many dinosaur skeletons! They were huge! The children also saw a life-like robot T-Rex. They loved it when he gave a massive ROAR!
We saw many different animals in the glass-cases at the museum. The lion, polar bear and enormous whale were probably the children’s favourites creatures.
We had a very busy, tying day, but loved every second!
